Welcome to my thoughts on energy ... and in particular Feng Shui

I have so many ideas percolating in my mind about the movements of energy in the ancient Chinese system of Feng Shui and how it applies to the Western World. Over the years, other energy aspects have seemed to insinuate themselves into our practice ... many of them metaphysical and some of them from the newest scientific discoveries.

We work with clients using the art and science of Feng Shui to help them initiate changes in their lives by changing, enhancing and de-cluttering their environments ... we also create custom crystal enhancements - such as chi catchers.

I am using this blog to post articles for our friends and clients ... and just for the FUN of it! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy posting the blogs.

Okay, let's consider what Feng Shui is?

Well, I'm starting off this post with a little bit of information about Feng Shui, for those readers who have never heard of it or have heard of it only in passing and don't know what the heck it is all about.

Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art and science of organizing our environments to better support our lives. It concerns itself with the flow of chi (energy) throughout our physical world (generally our homes, offices and vehicles) and how we can use that flow to make our life experience easier, better, more exciting, more fulfilling. It has been around and in use for thousands of years in China (and similar techniques in other ancient cultures such as India) and it is now being used all over the world. In the ancient systems, it was also used for the community as a whole.

We base our practice on the Western School of Feng Shui, the Black Hat Trantric style and from our own empirical experiences with other energy modalities.

All Feng Shui Schools are based on the premise that everything is energy ... just as the Quantum physicists of today are espousing. And that the flow of energy should be a smooth, unimpeded movement through space-time ... "an aesthetic quality of spatial movement" that occurs throughout the physical world. Feng Shui is a means of arranging our environment by placing or removing certain things in such a way as to enhance that elegant flow of energy to support those living in that environment.

"Optimal flow for living organisms means that the atmosphere feels like a spring breeze -- neither fast and vehement, nor sluggish and stagnant. The quality of flow causes living beings to either flourish or deteriorate." Michael Heim, PhD, THE FENG SHUI OF VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS

The art of Feng Shui deals with the arrangement of your own personal space in such a manner that the moving, flowing energy of the world harmonizes with your vision of your life. So, the first important step -- you must know yourself and what you want from your life as you work with Feng Shui.

Re-arranging the flow of chi (energy) through our environment with Feng Shui is based on the BaGua, which I posted in my previous post.

Many people already us these energy principles unconsciously ... think of places that are welcoming, while others are edgy or uncomfortable ... then there are places where you just want to fall asleep and ones that energize you. It is when we start consciously reviewing our world through energy principles that we can then learn to USE it to further our own desires, purposes and passions.

That's what Sandy and I are all about ... helping others become conscious of how their world (environment) can be used to support them instead of just dealing with the default energies that might actually hinder them.

If this blog just piqued your interest enough for you to go looking, then GREAT! There is lots of information on the internet ... just Google it! :-)

Well, here is my first posting, or should I say blogging?

First I wanted to explain about the photo at the bottom of this page of the ocean surging in under the pier. I am using this page like I would any area of my environment where I consider the energies -- by using a bagua -- and the bottom (which lines up with the entrance) has the element of water in the middle. Notice how the water is flowing towards the viewer, this is a "energetic blessing" upon all who view this page because it is my intention that abundance flow towards the viewer (including me ;-) ). Considering how to use Feng Shui in this and our web site is fun and enlightening.

To help you visualize what I am doing when I use the bagua, this is what it looks like:

You will notice that "water" is the element here in Career/LifePath.

In the Western School of Feng Shui and Black Hat Trantric Feng Shui, one matches the Career/LifePath area (or gua) with the entrance to one's home, office or business ... I am lining it up with my blog web page. Just feels like good energy to me.

Anyway, here I am going to write all kinds of things that I think about my chosen field so it is linked to our web site: NithsdaleDragon.com
This gives me an more seamless way to approach my articles, and also maybe another marketing tool -- or so I have been told :-)

My partner Sandy and I just launched our web site this year -- energetically a great year for new beginnings with its energy of "1". In numerolgy 2008 adds up to 1 and 1 years are always years of new beginnings. I like to play around with the western versions of astrology and numerology when doing Feng Shui instead of the Chinese versions. I find that energetically it's a much better match for the way we live here in the United States.

Okay, that's all for today. Just wanted to introduce myself and my passion. Will continue this discussion again tomorrow.

Ciao!
